Manslaughter trial

A JAMAICAN national will face trial over the death of a man who died two days after a fight in Oldham.
Garlett Brown (44), of Shaw Street, Oldham Edge, appeared before Manchester Crown Court on Friday charged with the manslaughter of Mbongeni Ndhlovu.
He denies the charge and was remanded in custody for trial on April 25, 2012. Mr Ndhlovu (28), originally from Zimbabwe, was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident at about 11.30am on Sunday, October 23, but later discharged himself.
He died two days later at Hope Hospital, Salford, after paramedics were called to a flat in Shaw Street.
