Queens Park Rangers' Shaun Wright-Phillips
PREMIER League footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips failed to attend Oldham Magistrates’ Court yesterday to face a driving charge.
The Queens Park Rangers winger (30) is charged with failing to disclose who was behind the wheel of his Aston Martin at a location in Manchester back in January, when he played for Manchester City.
His solicitor claimed the England international was “unaware” of proceedings and was granted an adjournment.
His case will be brought back to the magistrates’ court on Thursday, December 1.
He is the second Premier League footballer in three months to face a driving charge at the court. Carlos Tevez pleading guilty in his absence to a charge of speeding in September.
