A MAN is being treated in hospital after being stabbed in the face on Yorkshire Street.
The 27-year-old was taken to hospital after suffering the wound outside the Number Fifteen pub.
Police were called to the scene at 10.15pm on Tuesday and said the man was suffering wounds to his face. His injuries are not said to be life threatening.
Leigh-Ann Faulkner, manager at the Number Fifteen bar, said: “The incident, unfortunately, occurred outside on the street but it wasn’t attached to our pub in any way.
“As far as I know it was some lads who were walking through the town, I didn’t see the incident as I was inside at the time. He did have injuries though, we made the call to the emergency services and brought him in until they arrived.”
No arrests have yet been made.
