A must-have list of facilities has been drawn up for a new or refurbished Oldham Sports Centre.
These include a four-court sports hall, a six-lane, 25 metre pool, a learner pool, turning the diving pool into a family pool with flumes, multi-purpose exercise studios for the likes of dance and Zumba, and a gym with 60 fitness stations.
A bowling hall, also on the wish-list, would add £1 million to the cost of a refurbishment, a meeting of the West Oldham District Parnership heard.
Around 1,000 people responded to a consultation which closed on November 20. Project manager Cath Inchbold said it is still not decided whether to refurbish or rebuild the centre. Oldham College is also interested in running the artificial pitch at Grange.
