A UROLOGY service shake-up will see Royal Oldham Hospital patients moved out of the borough and two new bladder scanners arrive at the hospital.
From tomorrow, all urology services at the Royal Oldham Hospital will transfer to a specialist unit at North Manchester General Hospital. Most of the staff from Oldham’ ward F6 work at the new unit.
As part of the move, Oldham has invested in two new bladder scanners, which will provide a better service for local patients and negate the need to send them to other hospitals for testing.
Outpatient clinics and tests will still be provided in Oldham. Info from the hospital trust’s patient advice service on 0161-604 5897.
