Care-centre tour chance

PATIENTS in Oldham are being given a chance to get a look at the new Werneth Primary Care Centre before its official opening.
Visitors can take a guided tour around the centre in Featherstall Road South tomorrow from 10.30am until 1pm.
The open day is chance for patients to familiarise themselves with the centre’s layout before its official opening next week.
GP practices are moving in this weekend with a new Lloyds Pharmacy also set to open on Monday.
Community services, including health visitors, district nurses, services for children with additional needs, podiatry, contraception and sexual health services, counselling services and health promotion, will begin from late January, 2012.
The new centre will serve around 20,000 people in the area and is also the most environmentally-friendly primary healthcare building in the UK.
