GPs care about your health views
Date published: 30 November 2011
Oldham‘s family doctors want the public’s views on plans to give GPs control of the borough’s future health provision.
Oldham NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will be responsible for spending taxpayers’ money on local health services from April 2013.
The body, which takes over from NHS Oldham, is running two consultations on the issues.
Copies of a booklet summarising the issues, with a freepost feedback form, are available from GP practices, pharmacies, dentists, libraries across Oldham and also the Patient Advice and Liaison Service at Oldham Integrated Care centre. Groups or organisations with an interest in health can ask for a speaker by contacting Mark Drury. The consultation period ends at Christmas.
