NO further police action will be taken against three carers arrested following an investigation into ill-treatment at a private Oldham care home.
Police received a report that an 86-year-old female patient had been ill-treated at Franklin House Care Home, in Franklin Street, on September 29.
Three members of staff were dismissed with two of them appealing the decision.
The three women, aged 23, 28 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of ill-treatment under the Mental Capacity Act and bailed. Following further inquiries, they will not be charged.
Franklin House confirmed it had a “zero-tolerance” policy concerning the safeguarding of residents.
