FOUR donkeys obviously herd a good time was being had by cows on the loose in Shaw...
Chronicle reader Ricky McLeary spotted the cows munching his lawn in Cowie Street last week but now the gang has mooved further afield.
Penny Flynn from Woodend has also seen the cows and now donkeys wandering around for the last five days.
She said: “Twice this week there has also been four donkeys wandering around — I’m not joking!
“These cows are becoming a bit of a nuisance and our neighbours are trying to find out who is responsible for the damage to their gardens.
“I have rung the RSPCA, council and the police and nobody seems in least bit interested.”
A police spokesman confirmed officers had been called each day since last Wednesday and that every time they had contacted the owners at Whitfield Dairy Farms. A staff member at the farm said he was not aware of any missing animals.
