PAUL SCHOLES: big demand for the player and his book.
HUNDREDS of football fans flocked to Spindles Town Square shopping centre last night to get a chance to meet their idol Paul Scholes up close.
A sprawling queue snaked across the centre as eager fans waited to meet former Manchester United and England midfielder.
And they were delighted to greet the local star, who now has a coaching role with the Reds, as he stationed himself in Waterstone’s book store. Scholes, who lives in Grasscroft, was there to sign copies of his autobiography, My Story.
