Council to wind down for holidays
Date published: 19 December 2011
OLDHAM Council has confirmed it will be operating restricted services over Christmas and New Year.
For the fourth year, many services and facilities will be scaled down during the holiday period.
Out-of-hours services will remain available for urgent situations such as social care and other emergencies.
The services affected — and details of emergency contact telephone numbers — are outlined in a series of advertisements in the Chronicle and on the Oldham Council website at www.oldham.gov.uk.
Posters should be on display at affected venues with full details of closure arrangements.
Refuse collections will carry on as normal and residents should put bins out on their usual days.
Oldham Council staff are required to take three days out of their annual leave entitlement allowance (on December 28-30) to enable closures to take place.
