Nando’s sword terror
Date published: 26 January 2012
FOUR armed men threatened staff at a Royton restaurant in front of terrified customers.
The masked thugs — armed with a samurai sword, knife, axe and a hammer — stole cash in the hold-up at Nando’s at Elk Mill Retail Park at 10.05pm on Sunday.
The man with the sword threatened a staff member and demanded he opened a till, while his three accomplices rifled other tills.
The gang then fled in a blue Audi estate car, which was later found abandoned in Middleton.
