Security guard groper jailed

A CHADDERTON man has been jailed for six months by magistrates in Manchester for groping a security guard.
Andrew Cunningham (29) had approached the victim in a city centre supermarket and said “Give us a kiss, sexy”. Afterwards he committed the offence before the guard shoved him away and there was a scuffle.
At the time Cunningham was already on the Sex Offenders’ Register for a sex attack on a woman in 2007. Subhanur Chowdhury, prosecuting, said Cunningham had twice been jailed for breaching the seven-year order.
The court heard that Cunningham, of Bamford Street, has a severe alcohol problem and had been drinking on the day of the offence.
Cunningham was given a new order to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for another seven years.
A two-year restraining order was imposed on him to stay away from the guard.
