RECOVERING: Lola with her owner’s son Lewis (8)
A puppy injured in a hit and run accident will not have to have her legs amputated.
Lola, a Staffordshire bull terrier, was left with both her legs in cast after being was knocked down.
Owner Gareth Walker, of Cunliffe Drive, Shaw, was told his beloved pet may have to face extensive surgery to remove her legs, but has now been reassured this won’t happen.
He said: “I’m taking her in for more X-rays next week, but it’s not looking like anything too serious anymore.”
