Chadderton town crier Reg Lord marks the start of the Queen’s diamond jubilee year
CHADDERTON Town crier Reg Lord reads out a proclamation to mark the start of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations yesterday.
The event, at Chadderton Town Hall, was organised by the local historical society and guests included Oldham’s deputy mayor Councillor Olwen Chadderton and consort Roy Chadderton, youth mayor Chantel Birtwistle, and the Chadderton prince and princess, Max Butterworth and Jade Chadwick.
Also at the ceremony were members of the Chadderton branch of the Royal British Legion and councillors.
