A FAN came to the rescue when the Oldham Athletic got an unusual request from the producers of “Coronation Street”.
The soap’s production team was trying to get a shirt from the Latics glory days —the 1993/4 season when they were in Premier League and also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
The club didn’t have one, but put Granada Television in touch with Gary Davies who runs the Oldham Athletic memorabilia website Museum de Latique.
He was able to help and the framed shirt will feature in a fiery scene featuring Rovers Return boss Stella, and her husband and Karl.
