A WHEELIE bin stashed full of cannabis was discovered at the rear of a Roundthorn property.
Police searched a house on Allama Iqbal Road following tip-offs from local residents and officers found strett-ready drugs worth £25,000. Drugs, mobile phones and cash were also recovered.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis with intent to supply.
PC Graham Turner, of East Oldham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This is a significant find, as it very rare we find drugs bagged and ready for sale.”
Anyone with information should call the neighbourhood policing team on 0161-856 9028.
In a separate story, two Oldham men have been jailed for drug dealing.
Aaron Flanagan (24), of Walters Drive, Fitton Hill, admitted two charges of supplying cocaine and heroin and one charge of being concerned in the supply of cocaine at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court. He was jailed for two years and three months.
Aaron Southwood (26), of Cherry Avenue, Alt, admitted five counts of being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine and was jailed for 15 months.
The pair were among 15 people arrested during dawn raids across the borough on July 21 last year.
