Girl, 15, passed around and raped while she slept

A third teenage girl alleged to have been targeted by a Greater Manchester child sexual exploitation gang has described the moment she woke up to find she was being raped.

Kabeer Hassan (24), of Lacrosse Avenue, Oldham, and 10 men from Rochdale all deny conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with children under the age of 16.

The jury at Liverpool Crown Court was played police video interviews with the third alleged victim, who was 15 at the time of abuse.

The girl, now 17, described how she and her friend were “picked up” by three Asian men and taken to a house in Freehold. At the house she said they were joined by another four Asian men and she got “out of her head” on shots of Jack Daniels and vodka. The group was also said to be smoking cannabis.

The girl told police she and her friend went to an upstairs bedroom and went to sleep but that later in the night the men in the house started to come in “asking for sex”. She then said she fell asleep before awaking to find a man was raping her.

She said she felt “heavy breathing” on her neck and “screamed” when she realised what was happening. The girl said she told the man “no” and that it made her feel “horrible”.

The defendants are alleged to have “passed around” and used the girls for sex in Oldham and Rochdale in 2008 and 2009.

The girl described twice being violently raped at a house in Kensington Street, Rochdale. She said the owner, a man she called Shah, would slap her face if she tried to stop him kissing her.

She described how another man she named as Hamid would watch as Shah, in his 40s, tried a “ridiculous” number of sexual positions.

She described another occasion at the same address when Hamid threatened to slit her throat unless she had sex with him.
