MEDAL winner: Luke Procter takes the race
FORMER Royton Cricket Club professional Luke Procter showed he’s a sporting all-rounder after hitting the bullseye in a charity challenge.
His Lancashire county side went the extra mile for Sport Relief as they completed a wicket-to-wicket relay with a twist at Old Trafford cricket ground.
Players relayed an impressive 80 times and swapped bats for darts by attempting to strike a bullseye on a dart board after completing each leg.
Oldham-born Luke was the clear winner with a three-dart score of 100. Head coach Peter Moores said: “The lads did really well to keep up the pace.
“I hope the boys have encouraged the public to do their bit.”
The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile is on Sunday, March 25. Enter a race at www.sportrelief.com.
