New home is shipshape

OLDHAM Sea Cadets are shipshape after moving into a new home.
The Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Col Warren James Smith, opened their new building in Yates Street, Derker, during a dedication service.
The cadets moved from the Derker Annexe Centre, their home on Derker Street for more than 50 years, after it was compulsorily purchased by Oldham Council to make way for redevelopment. The new facility is a former Go To Doc building only a short distance away.
