Dramatic way to spread the word

A series of performances has been created by the Oldham College’s Drama department to represent the core activities at Mahldo.
Mahdlo has teamed up with the drama students ahead of Monday’s launch to develop the performances, which the college will then take to schools in the area.
They’ll also form part of the VIP and young person’s launches taking place this weekend.
The performances will highlight the issues affecting young people in the area and will demonstrate how Mahdlo aims to support them.
Laura Windsor-Welsh said: “So much work has gone into these performances, they look amazing. The college students have developed a fantastic way of engaging young people in the services and facilities available at Mahdlo.”
Miranda Parker, drama tutor at The Oldham College, said: “This has been a great opportunity for our students. Using Mahdlo as a stimulus, they have created original and educational pieces of drama which will be touring Oldham schools.
“The students became really inspired by the ideas behind the Mahdlo project.”
