OLDHAM East and Saddleworth MP Debbie Abrahams proved herself a political frontrunner — after becoming the second fastest female MP in a charity run.

The Labour politician completed the Westminster Mile for Sport Relief in a race for Members of Parliament.

The 51-year-old completed the mile in 7 minutes and 5 seconds.

She said: “It’s been a great afternoon with everyone across the House pulling together to do their bit for Sports Relief.”
