Big reveal on Royton plans
Date published: 23 March 2012
SWEEPING new plans to transform Royton centre will be unveiled for the first time on Monday.
Dransfield Properties Ltd, a development company which has struck up a deal to work hand in hand with Oldham Council, will display initial plans as part of its public consultation.
The company will be based at Royton Youth Centre from 1-9pm, during which the full development team will be on hand to answer questions.
The Chronicle revealed last month how the deal will see a radical revamp of the district centre, with the arrival of a major new food store and an overhaul of the existing precinct.
A spokesman for the company said: “We know there is an awful lot of interest in the development and we’re hoping for a really good turnout at the event.”
