Phone business left in ashes by firebugs

THE dreams of an Oldham business man were today in tatters after thieves raided and then set alight his town-centre shop.
The Evening Chronicle has previously reported that 52-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq Mirza was stabbed by a knife-wielding robber in September last year at his shop, Fonezone, on Tommyfield Market.
Last month robbers struck again, forcing their way into the shop and clearing out display cabinets.
On Saturday raiders smashed into the unit, stole the till and set fire to the place.
Yesterday, charred display cabinets lay outside the store in a heap.
Police were called at around 10.50pm on Saturday and have launched an investigation into the attack on the business.
No arrests have yet been made.
