Oldham’s regional science centre.
OLDHAM’S £10 million Regional Science Centre has been nominated for a national honour.
The Oldham Sixth Form college building which opened last year has been shortlisted for an S-Lab (safe, successful and sustainable labs) Award.
The former empty office block in King Street has been transformed and boasts physics, electronics, physiology, biology and chemistry labs.
There is also an exhibition space and facilities for primary and secondary school pupils. The new S-Lab Awards celebrate excellence in lab design, operation and management in all sectors, and in laboratory-based teaching.
