Organisations receiving cash boosts from Oldham Council’s Local Transition Grant Fund have been presented with their share.
The grant of £150,000 has been split between nine local community groups, including Key to the Door, a helpline for young parents.
The £21,779 left over from the fund will be used to support a large range of other community groups.
Councillor Shoab Akhtar presented the cheque to Elaine Ashworth of Key to the Door and other worthy volunteers.
