Ex-pupils say sad farewell to school

FORMER pupils said farewell to their old high school as the bulldozers reduce it to rubble.
And they were given a barrel-load of bricks as a memento of Fitton Hill School.
Oldham Council announced in November that it was demolishing the Rosary Road building, which became the Centre for Professional Development, to save money as part of a property review.
More than 300 former pupils have joined the Facebook site RIP Fitton Hill Comprehensive
Founder Phillip Bell posted: “It is nice to see more and more of our Fitton Hill family coming together on here after so many years. It is sad our old school is coming down but it is bringing us together.”
