A MAN was threatened with a machete as a gang of three ransacked his home.
They burst into the house on Falmouth Street, Hathershaw, at around 10.30am last Friday.
The victim was kept in the living room by a masked man armed with an 18-in machete, who made repeated threats and demands while his accomplices ransacked the upstairs, pushing the householder’s partner out of the way as they did.
The gang fled empty-handed, climbing over the yard gate and running off towards Plymouth Street.
One of the men is described as being of mixed race, aged 24-27, with dark eyes and wearing a black scarf to cover his face. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood covering his hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161-856 8951 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555 111.
