OLDHAM is getting ready for a June jam-packed with town centre events.
They start with the 12th Festival Oldham from noon to 4pm on June 2 and 3 with shows, music and street theatre.
This is followed by a Diamond Jubilee Street Party from 2pm to 6pm on June 4 in Yorkshire Street which is being organised by three pubs: The Squire Knott, Number 15 and Old Bank.
The Olympic torch relay also passes through the town centre on June 24 and there will also be a range of sports events from 10am to 2pm on the day. These include BMX and roller derby displays, and sports organisations are being encouraged to have stalls.
