To baldly go!

A CEREBRAL palsy sufferer is shaving her head for her friend who has cancer in a remarkable act of solidarity.
Close friends Tracy Marinelli and Andrea Walkden will be bald together come tomorrow night as they raise money for Shaw and District Disabled Association.
Andrea (51) will chop off her locks to show her support for Tracy (49) who was diagnosed with breast cancer last December and has been on chemotherapy.
Tracy, who also suffers with MS and diabetes, said about her pal: “I think she is really brave. I was going to lose my hair with the chemo, she does not have to. It’s amazing to think someone will support you in this way.”
The pair met through the association several years ago — a charity which is struggling to keep going through tough financial times, with its charity shop, on Eastway, in Shaw, faces closure.
Tracy, of Browfield Way, Oldham, was told she had cancer after suffering a pain under her arm.
She underwent a charity head-shave in January: “I was going to lose it anyway, so I thought I would raise some money — which was £360.”
Wheelchair-bound Andrea, of Fir Common, Shaw, will have her hair shaved at tomorrow’s charity evening from 8 at the North Star Inn, Rushcroft Road, Shaw.
