£17,500 in drugs seized

DRUGS with a street value of £17,500 were seized during a police raid in Greenacres.
A 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply after cannabis was found at the house in Ryeburn Street. She has been bailed until May 22, pending further inquiries.
In a separate incident, two arrests were made after a car was stopped.
Officers stopped an Audi A3 in Burnley Lane, Chadderton, on Saturday as part of a routine check. Officers could smell cannabis and searched the car. Cannabis, money, mobile phones and drug apparatus were seized. An 18-year-old man and 20-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of supplying cannabis.
A search warrant was later executed at an address in Hunt Lane, Chadderton, where a machete and extendable baton were seized. Both men have been released on police bail until June pending further inquiries.
