RAIDERS have ransacked the house of a woman only days after her death.
They got into the house in Oldham Road, Grasscroft, sometime between 5.30pm on Saturday and 5.30pm on Sunday.
The house was vacant as the owner had died on April 19.
The burglars stole a Panasonic and a Samsung television along with a Samsung DVD player.
Police are now appealing for information.
Insp Danny Milovanovic said: “When this family discovered the home had been broken into, just over a week after losing a loved one, it would be impossible to overstate their grief.
“A traumatic time has become even more difficult thanks to the actions of some cowardly thieves. Those responsible should feel utterly ashamed of themselves.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
