OLDHAM’S Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is one of the first to be scrutinised before taking control of £312m of NHS money.
The CCG, led by family doctors, is the only one in Greater Manchester involved in the first round of the process.
In the coming weeks NHS teams will scrutinise its plans, visit Oldham and talk to organisations now starting to do business with the CCG.
The CCG’s objectives are to improve Oldham health and care while using resources effectively.
The CCG will then be told if it is ready to take responsibility for the NHS budget for Oldham in April, 2013.
