Date published: 08 May 2012
FIREFIGHTERS are trying to confirm if anyone was trapped in a blaze that gutted the former Broadway Club in Failsworth.
Six crews were called to the disused building in Oldham Road shortly before 6.20pm on Monday.
Officers entered the building but were forced out over fears the building could collapse. The blaze destroyed a large part of the roof.
Failsworth Road was closed at Broadway and nearby properties evacuated for a time.
