FOUR friends put their foot down to roll up at their school prom.
Hathershaw Technology College students George Holland, Tashan Tomlin, Michael Coleman and Ben Finch were greeted with cheers when they arrived on scooters.
They didn’t want to fork out for a fancy limo and George (16) said: “It was different and cheap. “Someone messing around brought up the idea of scooters and everybody said ‘let’s do it’.”
They paid £10 each for their scooters and met in Fitton Hill before making their own way to the prom at Hotel Smokies Park in Bardsley.
George added: “ Everyone went crazy when we arrived, shouting and screaming.”
