Sums prove a hit on teacher’s show
IT’S all starting to add up for maths teacher Arif Mohid.

The Radclyffe School tutor has unexpectedly found himself presenting and producing his own TV show, beamed across the world by satellite .

Arif was approached by small TV station ATN Bangla UK to consider fronting a maths-based programme.

Before he had time to make a decision they rang to tell him he was going live two days later from a small studio in Chadderton Way.

After 13 shows, people have started ringing-in from across the globe.

He even has local students making guest appearances and helping out on set.

Arif said: “Viewers learn maths at home and improve their mathematics skills and knowledge whatever their age.

“The unique feature is that viewers also learn about other subjects such as how an aeroplane flies, the Olympics, global warming, science, history and religion.

“Viewers can also take part in the live show by phoning in to answer questions and put their views across.”

Arif’s live show is on Sky channel 827, on Fridays fortnightly, at 7.30pm, with the next show tonight.
