STRIKING public-sector workers outside the Royal Oldham Hospital
PUBLIC-sector workers protesting at pension reforms took to the streets of Oldham yesterday.

Nigel Pollitt, Unite union representative, said: “They want to push up the retirement age which is not acceptable.
“Can you imagine a 68-year-old lifting a patient out of bed in hospital? The Government is making us work longer for less.”
