NINE men have been arrested over a suspected second sex grooming case in Rochdale.
Two men, aged 24 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of sexual activity with a child by officers from GMP’s Public Protection Division on May 4.
The arrests come as part of an inquiry into the sexual exploitation of a teen girl by men since 2005.
In total nine men have been arrested, aged between 24 and 38-years-old, on suspicion of sexual activity with a child and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
The news comes just days after nine asian men, who groomed white girls as young as 13, were sentenced to prison stays between 19 and four years.
Among them was takeaway worker Kabeer Hassan (25), of Lacrosse Avenue, Oldham, who was jailed for nine years for rape and three years, concurrently, for conspiracy.
The case attracted widespread national media coverage and analysis.
