Sahil ‘not the same’ since kidnap ordeal
Date published: 16 May 2012
THE father of a Shaw boy kidnapped in Pakistan has told a court that his son has not been the same since his ordeal.
Raja Saeed spoke at the trial in Spain of two Pakistani men and a Romanian woman accused of plotting to kidnap his son Sahil in March, 2010.
Muhammad Zahid Saleem, his wife Gianina Monica Neruja and Muhammad Sageiz deny charges of kidnap of a minor, conspiracy, robbery, trespass and unlawful arrest.
Mr Saeed told the court in Tarragona that his son suffers from nightmares and has difficulty eating.
He said: “My son is not that bubbly kid he used to be any more. He used to laugh with me, he was a happy child but now he is always scared. If I go to Pakistan he says ‘don’t go there.’”
He added Sahil is struggling at school and is being treated by a children’s psychiatrist.
Proceeding.
