Latics staff take a dive!
Date published: 24 May 2012
LATICS staff took their fundraising efforts to new heights with a 14,000 ft charity skydive.
The brave bunch, led by assistant manager Gerry Taggart, completed their mission at the Black Knight Sky Dive Centre in Lancaster after it was called off due to high winds last month.
The team, which includes first-team coach Lee Duxbury, goalkeeping coach Paul Gerrard, fitness coach Paul Butler, commercial manager Jenny Warburton, commercial administrator Billy Quarmby and head groundsman Chris Bailey, also cycled 58 miles through the Yorkshire Dales, from Richmond to Skipton, on April 28.
They are raising money for The Christie at the Royal Oldham Hospital and the Tilinanu Orphanage in Malawi, Africa.
The team are hoping to generate a five figure sum and anyone still wanting to donate can visit www.justgiving.com/OAFC
