Waterhead Academy kids at Aviva Finals
DANCE divas at Waterhead Academy will perform at Twickenham Stadium ahead of the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final tomorrow.
A total of 50 pupils, dancers and banner-carriers, will take part, having gone through a rigorous selection process.
They will join students from across the country for the pre-match performance.
Alison Taylor, the academy’s head of sport and PE, said: “This exciting and challenging project offers the chance for pupils to develop their confidence as well as their dance skills. We believe in all students achieving their personal best and being asked to perform at Twickenham could hardly be better.”
The dance project is run by education and events specialists Proexcel.
Liam O’Reilly, director of the Saddleworth-based company, said: “It is great working with such a proactive school and the students will gain a great deal from the experience.”
