Colossal job at Coliseum
Date published: 25 May 2012
THE renovation of Oldham’s legendary Coliseum Theatre is well under way.
The Fairbottom Street venue is producing theatre at various venues across the borough during the temporary closure.
Essential work on the heating and air conditioning systems is taking place and new seating, which will improve the audience’s view of the stage, has been fitted.
The theatre is due to re-open in October.
Meanwhile, its production of “Dumb Show” is being held at the Grange Arts Theatre in Rochdale Road from June 12-30. Tickets can be booked at Unit 12 Albion Street, the former tourist information office.
