Little acts, big job; Emmanuel Whittaker staff mark their 175 Promises campaign
A ROYTON firm celebrating 175 years in business is carrying out a good deed to mark every year of its existence.
Construction and regeneration company Emanuel Whittaker Ltd has launched a “175 Little Acts of Kindness” campaign, which will support people and good causes in the communities the firm has served throughout its history.
Managing director Clive Newton said: “This is our chance to thank the communities that have kept us in business over the last 175 years.
“We have been able to touch the lives of thousands of people with our work building and repairing homes and community buildings and we are very proud of that.
“The 175 Little Acts of Kindness campaign sums up what we are about as a company, delivering on the small and personal touches that make a massive difference.
“We will be raising money for good causes, but also focusing on ensuring we support people in the areas where we operate, no matter how big or small the task.”
Whittaker’s has already started delivering on its promise with staff lending a hand to people living near its developments who are in need of assistance.
The company has named The Christie and Dr Kershaw’s Hospice as its chosen charities for the year.
