“BRITAIN’S Got Talent” street dance stars Karizma Krew are set to be the main attraction at this weekend’s Festival Oldham.
The South London collective, semi-finalists in this year’s ITV1 show, will perform in a dance showcase on Sunday.
The borough’s annual celebration of art and entertainment has a Best of British theme, with street theatre, music and dance on Saturday and Sunday for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Councillor Barbara Brownridge, Cabinet member for co-operatives and community development, said: “Festival Oldham promises to be a great event, with shoppers and visitors being entertained over the Jubilee weekend — and it is all free. We’re delighted to be hosting some of Britain’s best talent.”
Gallery Oldham is celebrating its 10th birthday on June 2 and will blow out the candles on a special cake during a Jubilee street party in the gallery gardens. All Festival Oldham activities are free, with events focused around the shopping centre in High Street
