Catherine and her amazing paper dress.
FASHIONISTAS who want to make an impact should take a leaf out of Catherine Duffy’s book.
The art and design student from Oldham College has created a stunning ballgown — using the pages of old books.
The 19-year-old made the dress as part of her National Diploma. Hundreds of paper leaves were added to a wire cage.
She explained: “I used books because they brought to life my creative concept that this should be a fairytale dress, just like the ones that you read about in children’s stories.”
The dress is on display in reception at the Rochdale Road college.
