A FUTURE in fashion: Hannah Voong’s designs will be given a national showing during Graduate Fashion Week
STUNNING oriental designs from an Oldham fashion fanatic will be modelled at a top catwalk show.
Hannah Voong (22) will see her very own creations take centre stage on the runway in London during Graduate Fashion Week.
Judges from the prestigious event select the best students from fashion colleges across the country to show each year.
Hannah’s eye-catching Japanese-inspired designs earned her a place.
The former North Chadderton School pupil said: “I’ve used opulent draping fabrics, combined with three-dimensional forms and structures with details inspired by traditional Japanese pleatings and fastenings.”
“I hope to have my own business in the future, so am hoping to get some good work experience in the industry to prepare me for this — I’m looking forward to starting my career in fashion.”
Hannah, who is in her final year of a Fashion degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, has already worked for top British designer Matthew Williamson.
The collection will form part of the show by 20 students from Manchester School of Art at Earls Court on June 12.
