Anthony Lavin: hands-on during the Tour de France
OLDHAM chiropractor Anthony Lavin is heading across the channel to give professional support to the Australian Orica-GreenEDGE cycling team in the Tour de France.
The 35 year old will be using his hands-on skills to keep the wheels rolling for the nine-rider team as it competes in the gruelling 2,173 mile race.
He is the team’s official chiropractor, supporting them on the road during four stints. Anthony is a big sports fan, and also team chiropractor for Everton Football Club.
“I have been working with professional cyclists in private practice for quite a while,” he explained.
“I have a passion for professional sports, but I want to keep a balance between that and my work here in Oldham.”`
His sporting appointments involve a lot of travel. Already this year he has been to Spain, Milan in Italy, Denmark, Nice, Paris and Flandersto help clients.
