A TALENTED quartet scooped a raft of top awards at a prestigious ceremony to recognise excellent work in the health industry.
Consultant radiologist Dr Narayanasamy Jeyagopal, personal assistant Cath Norbury, vascular nurse Debbie Ruff and children’s divisional nurse manager Yvonne Tunstall were honoured at the third annual Pennine Acute Trust staff awards.
Dr Jeyagopal, who has worked at the Royal Oldham for the past 21 years, scooped the Hospital Doctor of the Year Award.
He said: “I am delighted and honoured to receive the award. I have seen a lot of changes since I joined as a consultant radiologist and I have always enjoyed my work, despite the challenges we face every day in the NHS. I must say there is never a dull moment in radiology.”
The event, which was held at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium and hosted by TV presenter Fiona Phillips, was paid for sponsors.
