Alexandra Park’s Edwardian conservatory provides an elegant backdrop for a dance scene.
Theatre-goers will see Alexandra park in a new light from this weekend — as Oldham Coliseum’s latest “stage”.
Anjli Mohindra and Adam Barlow play the leading roles in an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”.
“Star Cross’d” has been localised by Oldham playwright Ian Kershaw, and tells the tale of Oldham teens split by a cultural divide.
The show uses the park’s natural surroundings as a backdrop.
Performances run from tonight (7.30pm) until Sunday July 22, with weekend matinees at 2.30pm.
For tickets contact the theatre box office (0161-624 2829) or visit www.coliseum.org.uk
