Vandals go on wrecking spree

VANDALS hit Royton and Crompton over the weekend causing more damage and mayhem.
The Chronicle reported how vehicles and properties had been targeted by a drive-by BB gunman last week.
The latest incident saw a vehicle on Lowe Green, Royton, have its tyres slashed and windscreen smashed shortly after 4am on Saturday.
And on Sunday at 12.30am a window was shot out by an airgun, at Royton’s Puckersley Inn. Several cars were damaged in Church Street.
One Royton resident reported having his car window smashed three times in one week.
In Crompton, passenger windows of cars parked in Trent Road and Fraser Street were smashed on Saturday morning.
